MILITARY LOG PERIODIC DIPOLE ANTENNA Design Features: The LPL-100-500 Mhz log periodic dipole antenna use 6063T6 ultra corrosion resistant architectural anodized aluminum alloy and designed to provide wideband directional transmission/reception of radio signals from 100-500 Mhz bands. The complete antenna is supplied with powder coating to protect it further from severe environmental conditions. The extra spacers are used between the support booms to improve mechanical durability of antenna. The antenna can be assembled in less than 10 minutes by two technicians. This log periodic dipole antenna system is particular suitable for transmission, reception, monitoring, scanning and jamming applications due to its broad band design feature. The shipping length of antenna is 10 feet making it highly suitable for mobile and tactical application. Two mounting brackets are fitted on the support boom one for horizontal polarization and other for vertical polarization. Constructions: The LP-100-500 Mhz assembled log periodic antennas outer-most dimensions are 6.5 meters (21.3 feet) long and 7.5 meters (24.5 feet) wide. The antenna has removable elements, the longest of which is 3.5 meters. All elements are supplied in two segments for easy of shipping and handling. Similarly the support boom of antenna is supplied in two sections for easy of shipping/transportation and handling. DESIGN FEATURES :
The DW-SD3150 high performance VHF lower band stacked dipole array is designed for use with highly populated radio sites requiring long haul omni-directional coverage. The DW-SD3150 is heavy duty stacked dipole array features, wide bandwidth, high gain, high power handling capacity, low VSWR, low noise performance and null filling coverage with omni-directional characteristics. This stacked dipole array is highly suitable as base station antennas for PMR, Repeater and Paging sites. CONSTRUCTIONS: The SD3-150 Stacked Dipole Array consists of TWO folded dipoles stacked vertically, fed in phase. This Stacked Dipole Antenna operates at D.C. ground for protection against lightning. Termination of phasing harness cable sealed by heat shrinking tube making stacked dipole antenna waterproofing. The 3.6 Meters (12 feet) long central mast for mounting the dipoles is shipped in two sections of 1.8 Meters (6 feet) each for easy of shipping. The stacked dipole antenna is suitable to mount on the top of tower and is supplied with two mounting brackets.
RADIATION PATTERN :
When the TWO dipoles are arranged 180 degrees apart around the central mast, 3dBd. (5.15dBi) omni-directional radiation pattern results. Aligning the TWO dipoles collinearly (facing in one direction) a 6dBd. (8.15dBi) offset radiation pattern is obtained. The radiation pattern can be changed in the field by use of common hand tools.
